This is a sample of a Memorandum of Agreement:

I, CHONA DOBLE GARTON, of legal age, Filipino citizen, married to DAVID SOTHERN GARTON, a British National with residence and postal address of: 14, Town Farm Place, Sixpenny Handley, Dorset, SP5 5QN, UK. Will sell for and in consideration of the sum of [P4, 400,000] FOUR MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS PHILIPPINE CURRENCY, to VENDEE, ----------, likewise of legal age, a Filipino citizen, and resident of ----------, ----------, Cebu. The agreement pertains to the purchasing of One Thousand Four Hundred [1,410] Square Meters of land currently part of Lot No. 6615-B.
Lot No. 6615-B will be re-titled at our expense in to two lots with their own individual title.
On completion of the payment schedule as written below, we would hereby CEDE, SELL, TRANSFER AND CONVEY unto the said, VENDEE, ------------, her heirs and assigns, that certain parcel of land, with clear new title, described as part of Lot No. 6615-B, containing an area of [1,410] One Thousand Four Hundred SQUARE METERS.
Of which above described land, we are the registered and absolute owners thereof having acquired the same out of my personal funds: We hereby warrant peaceful ownership and possession thereof free from all liens and encumbrances whatsoever.
SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS:
Upon the signing of this M.O.A a deposit of P1, 000, 000 [One Million pesos] is to be paid in cash or by Bank Cheque [managers]. This will be followed by 8 [Eight] equal Three Monthly Instalments of P425, 000 [four hundred and twenty-five thousand pesos] PHILIPPINE CURRENCY directly to our BPI Bank account. The total amount being P4, 400,000 [FOUR MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS]. First Payment will be Due on ------------ and Last Payment Due on ------------------
That the provision of Article 1623 of the New Civil Code of the Philippine has been complied with by the VENDOR. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the VENDOR and VENDEE, have hereunto signed this instrument on this day
